Eph 2:18-21 says that through Jesus we are no longer strangers to God, but have personal access to the Father, by the Spirit, through the redeeming work of Christ alone.  God has chosen us and adopted us into His household.  His children!  His saints!  His church – not a place, but His people – are all-together the dwelling place of His Spirit.  

We gather to pursue and clothe our hearts in the truths of His Word so we may be the light He has called us to be – and maintain a child-like joy for His Word.
