Thanksgiving Banquet service opportunities

We are looking for willing helpers to help set up on Saturday morning in preparation for the Thanksgiving Banquet.  There are tables and chairs to set up and then getting the table clothes, centerpieces, etc on the tables.  If you can help, come to the Fellowship Hall at 10am on Saturday, November 19.

After the banquet, there will be a need to clear tables, vacuum, take out the trash, etc.  Plan to stick around for a little bit after the banquet and help.  The more help we have, the faster the tasks get done!

Please note: These service opportunities are open to everyone, however, this is a scholarship qualifying event for scholarships for camps, retreats, conferences and training. If you anticipate applying for a scholarship in 2017, consider being a part of set up or clean up.

Thanksgiving Banquet, Angel Tree Silent & Dessert Auctions this Sunday, immediately following the morning services.

Our annual Thanksgiving Banquet with turkey, ham, and all the trimmings is this Sunday!  Following the meal are the Angel Tree Silent & Dessert Auctions.   The funds raised from this fundraiser goes to provide Christmas gifts and family supply boxes for families in our church family and in the community who would not have Christmas presents otherwise.   Silent Auction items will be on display for bids during the meal and dessert auction.  Specialty desserts will be auctioned off towards the end of the meal.  For those who are donating their specialty holiday desserts for the auction, please bring them to the fellowship hall Sunday morning.

Trunk or Treat, Monday, October 31, 5:30-8:00pm, front parking lot

It’s a free, family friendly, fun, safe, community oriented alternative to “trick or treating”. Volunteers park their vehicles in the church parking lot and hand out candy or trinkets to the children.  There is still time to get in on the fun!  Sunday is the last day to reserve a spot for your "trunk".  We also need some volunteers to serve at the Coffee Station where we will have coffee and hot chocolate available for our guests.  We are looking forward to having a fire truck and police car too!  Sign up on the bulletin boards this Sunday.
